November 6, 2012 Election Results

Montcalm County unofficial results are final at 1:42 am for all 30 Montcalm County precincts. 100% of Montcalm County precincts have reported.

Election results will be posted as they are reported to the Montcalm County Clerk's Office on election night. Since the polls are open until 8 pm we do not expect any results to be posted prior to 9 pm.

Results are available for inspection in two formats. The first report will be a Precinct report. This report breaks down vote totals for each race by precinct. The second report will be a Summary report. This report shows accumulative totals district-wide for every race on every ballot. If you are watching particular races, this is the report you will want.

Precincts

Please note: A total of 52 precincts will show on the report, but actually there will only be 51 precincts reporting results because the Greenville AVCB is shown as a precinct, but it is really not it's own precinct. The AVCB totals are added to the Greenville precinct 1, 2, 3, and 4 totals.

30 of the 51 precincts are Montcalm County Precincts, and the remaining 21 precincts are out-of-county precincts for Montcalm County School Districts. The only totals being reported for those 21 precincts are strictly school district results. If you are looking for results for Alma, Ithaca, Palo, Belding or Morley Stanwood Schools, the results on this page are only the results for the portion of the school district that falls in Montcalm County. You will want to visit either the Gratiot, Ionia or Mecosta County Clerk's webpage for the total results.

The last link on this page is a Precincts Reported page. This is merely a spreadsheet indicating which precincts have reported and the time they arrived at the County Clerk's Office. If a precinct appears on this sheet then their results are in the accumulative totals on the Summary Report. Current results can be found every few minutes by refreshing this page on election night.

Write-In Totals

Please note: Write-In totals that are reported on the reports are not necessarily associated with any particular write-in candidate. The write-in totals reported are for every write-in oval that was marked on the ballots, regardless of whether voters voted for a declared write-in candidate or not. The Board of Canvassers will determine how many valid write-in votes each declared candidate received.
