The Board of Canvassers certified all Montcalm County election results on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. All election results are now official. An Official Canvass document is posted which shows results by precinct.
Election results will be posted as they are reported to the Montcalm County Clerk's Office on election night. Since the polls are open until 8 pm we do not expect any results to be posted prior to 9 pm. Please keep in mind that the Township/City Clerks must drive their results to the Montcalm County Clerk's office in Stanton before they are posted to the internet. For outlying area's there is a substantial amount of travel time.
Results are available for inspection in two formats. The first report will be a precinct report. This report breaks down vote totals for each race by precinct. On Election Night only those precincts that have reported will appear on the report.
The second report will be a summary report. This report shows accumulative totals for the office of President. A total of 32 precincts will be reporting results. In a Presidential Primary counties are required to report results to the State by Congressional District. Therefore two additional precincts were added for this election because there is a Congressional split in Greenville Precincts 1 and 2. Greenville 1-4 and Greenville 2-4 belong to the 4th Congressional District. Greenville 1-3 and Greenville 2-3 belong to the 3rd Congressional District, along with Eureka Precincts 1 and 2.
When all precincts have reported and unofficial results are final on election night, a notice will be posted to the website stating such. Should you experience problems with this website or have questions regarding the totals you may call 989-831-7339 for assistance.
