The Circuit Court Clerk collects all fines, costs, and restitution ordered by the circuit court. Payment must be received by either a certified check, money order, credit/debit card or cash. If you choose to pay via credit or with a debit card, you will use govpaynow.com using payer code 4083. You will also need your case number.
Please keep in mind:
"Fines, costs, and other financial obligations imposed by the court must be paid at the time of assessment, except when the court allows otherwise, for good cause shown."
"Fines, costs, and fees not paid within 56 days of the due date are subject to a 20% late penalty on the amount owed. If you are not able to pay due to financial hardship contact the court immediately to request a payment alternative MCR 6.425(d)(3)"
The Circuit Court Clerk's office is actively pursuing payment of delinquent fines, costs, and restitution. Failure to pay on court-ordered items will result in a show cause notice and hearing and may result in a bench warrant being issued.
