Surplus Proceeds Requests
The recent Michigan Supreme Court decision will affect the tax foreclosure process in regard to possible surplus proceeds. To make a claim to any surplus funds of foreclosed properties from the 2022 Foreclosures, please refer to the attached form which is provided by the MI Department of Treasury.

The Montcalm County Treasurer's office will not contact previous foreclosed property owners. It will be your responsibility to file the Notice of Intent.
