Michigan Sex Offender Registry

The Michigan Sex Offender Registry was created in 1994 by the Michigan Sex Offenders Registry Act (Public Acts 286, 287, and 355 of 1994). The Act establishes the Michigan State Police as the keeper of the registry and SOR data. The act requires certain convicted sex offenders to register certain information such as where they live and verify the information one to four times per year with the Sheriff's Office, State Police, or local police.

SOR/verifications - Hours are Monday thru Thursday 9 am to 11 am and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

We do not process sex offender registrations on Fridays. You may also report to the Michigan State Police Post - Lakeview for verification/address changes. If you reside in the City of Greenville you must report to Greenville Department of Public Safety for verification/address changes.
